Guys im in a hurry and i want to put a small mic that i took out of a broken phone into the psp headphone remote control. I found out the pinouts look here:
Pin Internal wire Function
1 Brown wire Microphone input (decouple with a capacitor against audio ground)
2 Blue wire Digital ground
3 Orange wire TXD
4 Green wire Sense? Grounding this pin wakes PSP from standby.
5 Yellow wire +2.5V
6 Grey wire RXD
Tip Pink wire Left audio
Ring Red wire Right audio
Sleeve Black wire Audio ground
Now from what i understand i need to connect the microphone to the brown wire and audio ground (black wire) but i cannot find any black wire in the remote  any idea how to connect the mic?
fast plz

if I understand right , you plan to put a microphone in/on the remote

if so just wire it to the 3.5 jack spots I believe it is /-\ left

although mic and right might be reversed

the colors you got are from an old remote I have had three and they were all different boards and different wiring colors
the mic can be grounded with the audio or digital ground, I would think the digital would have less static/noise

wow thx man, and do you have any idea where the + and - side on the mic goes? Is it - to ground and + to mic input?
edit. ALL RIGHT, heres the good news, i got it to worka nd was able to record my voice with the mic!!! But the bad news is that it was really really weak and you could hear a lot of fuss and feedback. I wired it up to the Ground on the audio jack and other side to the brown mic input wire. Any ideas how to get it louder??

you might test it on audio ground and digital ground. it is possible that the mic requires more power than supplied by the remote, but I have a cell phone mic in my psp and it works well. the only alternative would be a preamp, and with you only getting 2.5v from the remote I don't think it would work well enough
