Title: Dpad Problem
Post by: Skullmaster on March 13, 2008, 10:47:34 PM
Ok, I cannot figure out why this is doing this. My dpad will not scroll right. If I just take the rubber pad and set it on the dpad board,it will scroll right perfectly fine but if I put the faceplate on it wont work. I switched my faceplate to a different one now so if I push super hard it will scroll right but it sucks to do this every time. If anyone has had this problem and knows what may be the problem let me know.

ok this might be yor fix when you put the screen brace and lcd in make shure that the notches on the right side of the d pad line up and go into the slits higher up on the lcd brace and not pushed down by the lcd or brace.

i had this problem i thing ages ago i narrowed it down to 2 thing that seemed to fix it
1 i took the dpad off and put it back on making sure it was seeted and screwed in properly
2 i made sure all the screw were in place and screwed in fully and tight

if that doesnt work then maybe striping it down and putting it back together will work but it may also be the FP your using causing the problem so check it against a few other FP includeing a stock one if you have it

the black part of the d-pad (where the plastic foil stuff is on) has 2 (maybe 3) plastic hinges on the right side
they must fit perfectly in the lcd-cage if they arent in the lcd cage, you get that problem (i had thesame)

try to clean the d-pad censor

wtf? it is about the d-pad not the analog stick(which works with sensors)
d-pad is just 4 momentary switches
