well i thought about building one earlier like a year before but i had no cash. so i might have cash now. wanna know how? 1 modded wii and a 80 gb 2nd gen zune. i got the zune for 80 so yea. if you wanna know about my wii and how much im willing to sell it for send me a message. lets get to the point now. i want a gaming rig under 4 or 5 bills. thats my budget. im 14 about to be 15.(July 5 is my B-Day) :#1: i have to come up with the money myself so yea. can yall just give me some suggestions on building it and what not? :beg: this is waht i know im getting at the moment.

Using a Tv for a monitor will be horrible, The resolution will be low and it'll be unconformable Although it would be an ok second monitor.

My tv has a vga port in the back, and pc mode doesn't change anything.... 42" Samsung the resolutions too low to use for day to day work.

we've used s video to hook up my buddy's laptop to his 40something samsung and it looked fine, course we were only playing oblivion

well i have an xtra 19" monitor its them fat ones :cry2: i hate it!. well the only thing ima do on my comp is myspace, counter strike, search the web and watch movies :tup:

Trust me, im using my Tv at the moment, and its horrible, just get a PC Monitor, my HDTV's only 32", 52" would be alot worse.

well i mean there is very very minimal scratches if any. I think i can take it appart for shipping. Ummm i am not sure who it is made buy... it comes with the pci opening kick outs and the front drive kick outs... I want 50 for it ummm i can only work through paypal... It does not come with a power suply or anything but you know big whop... It has all of the standoffs and everything....

no to be mean or anything but i can get a brand new one with led fans for like 40 so yea. how bout you give me the case and 110 for a brand new 80gb zune? good enough for you. im buying my gaming rig parts over time casue i dont have money to buy everything now. i was having second thougts about a acrylic case. i was thinking about this case becasue it comes with a power supply and it looks awsome

i am going to put a phenom chip in it... and have watercooling... It comes as 2.2 ghz i will prob over clock it to 3 ghz lol but the whole system will end up coming in under $500 which is cool.

phenom is the first true quad core processor... :hifive: it is dual quad core... awesome! watercooling can be pretty easy to install check on youtube for how to do it...

depending on what kit you get... i have seen peeps build there own kit for a lot less before... it just depends on where you get it and if it is a kit or not and who makes it...

i got me a 19'' widescreen monitor lg($340) and its great and so is my 22'' lg tv (my lg has great resolut and goes i think to 1080p)bought it for about $350 at best buy during one of their specials arouund christmas
they both look great
i have my set up where i can switch back and forth with a switcher
its used for 2 pcs on on monitor but i rigged it up backwards and its great lol
if i was u i wouldnt get anything bigger than a 30 id ur sittin right in front of it
id spend ur money on a nice 7.2 surrouund

well my 52 im not gonna sit like face to face ima be at least like 5 6 feet away so yea. i can switch my pc to my room too cause i have a crt 19" in my room so yea. so what do you think about my future setup? oh yea i want to know if i can play cs 1.6 on vista without probs or lagging? :dntknw:

i think it will be sick gettin that tv dude... I would watch my cable and movies on it and for computer work just work with the 19" but how much will it cost you for the tv?

lmao get an 8600 and you should have no problems runnning 1.6

no i already have that 52" tv :#1: cost around 5 to 6 grand. oh and for the video card im geting a 8800. but all my family and friends say dont get vista i dont know what os i should get. i love the vista theme like the clock and all the other things on the side and that switching tabs thing :dntknw:

ive been running vista for some time now, ive only had minor issues, like my remote for my TV tuner wont work after it comes out of sleep. the only other thing is its a ram :censored:. mine runs at about 23% and i have 4 gigs of ram

well ive had second thougts about building my computer. i just dont have the money to build it. :cry2: im 14 thats why i guess when i have a job ill come back and build my computer. my other thought was getting back into paintball. i can get a cheap and good gun for under 2 bills and everything i need. so yea i cant decide. i really need money thats why im sellin my 80gb zune and my modded wii. if yall want any info on my 2 items im sellign send me a message :tup:

Get a summer job, you can get enough money for a decent gaming rig if you work. Ask your parents if they'll let you borrow some money and tell them you will pay them back by the end of the summer. Btw paintball gets really expensive after a while. Use of field + paint= around $50-60 per visit. Unless you play in the woods or something.

Oh, do they have like fast food joints or anything around. Just go asking around if anyone will hire you. Even though I don't really recommend working at Mc'Donalds or something along those lines.
