I was bored one night and decided to look for some anime bg for my psp, so I went to my browser (was after curfew) and cursor started moving on its own. I already search just so you know, and tried all of those: checking the jelly contact, checking the dpad connection, tightening the faceplate, I even tried a different joystick and dpad. I'm out of ideas, any help? :cry2:

try replacing it look on ebay there realy cheap or you could think ur tightining the face plate but it could be striped where the joystick is do you see a gap
-
There isn't any gaps and I'm pretty sure if I tighten it anymore the screw will stripe. It's close to. And I already tried replacing it with a practically new one

Solder some wires to the analog, it's the ultimate solution.

Like how?
-
use some wires instead of the jelly thing ;)
so solder 4 wires, 1 for each contact (from the mobo to the joystick)

ok... problem one solved and now the dpad?
-
is the econnetoin in probly ? are the cotacts clean?

in the xmb everything is fine, in the games say... character selection it would move diagonally or anything else thats sensitive for movement but not sensitive then it works fine. Same thing with the browser like picture thumbnails or stuff of the like.

I fixed it somehow :D Given up hope I tossed my psp on the bed and laid down on it by accident, so I picked it up hoping that I didn't break it even more, and I checked the browser and now it works!! I don't know how but I'm so glad it works now
