Title: Anything beyond 3.40 OE won't work
Post by: jair2k4 on March 26, 2008, 12:52:06 PM: I have searched all over teh internets and cant really find an answer.

When i install any CFW past 3.40 OE, i get semi bricks, sometimes it loads fine but wont load games, sometimes will go show waves, but no xmb, etc.... the thing is flaking out!

I got the thing with 3.70 on it, and used pand to go to 3.80 M33, had never tested it on 3.40 until today, did pand ---> 1.5---> 3.40 OE, and it seems to work almost flawlessly,.... so then i went up to 3.52 M33, and the crap started again..... so i did pand over again and am currently sitting at 3.40 OE yet again..... anyone know what might be causing this?

I have no custom themes or anything enabled. recovery menu options are at default, no custom prx's either.

Update: here search this app Tool Box v3 this has it all in one. the del cementerio is out dated buy that is nothing and the firmware but all you kneed is the other programs. Keycleaner idstorage

o Installing CFW 3.71M33-2 or FW 3.71
* Nand Manager by Minerva
o Dump/restore your Nand
* Nand Tool v.0.3 by Cory 149
o Restore Nand/Dump the Nand

o Create a Pandora Kit, write MSIPL.bin , etc

Post by: jair2k4 on March 30, 2008, 11:37:35 AM: When i pand to 3.80 M33 and then update, it freezes at 99% and says that the update could not complete..... I have used key cleaner but couldnt find anything wrong.... i'll try playing around with the other stuff in tool box and see what happens.

do this and after this go to the recovery and format f1 it must work ;)

Post by: DubbleDutch on April 12, 2008, 04:03:11 PM: when you are installing from a custom firmware lower than 3.52 m33-3 or -4 to a higher custom firmware then 3.52 m33-3 or -4

you will need to update to one of those firmwares ;)

for example

you got 3.40 OE, and you want 3.90 m33-3
you will need to go to 3.52 m33, update to 3.52 m33-3 (or -4) and then to 3.90 m33-3 ;)

why? because there was a small patch needed for those firmwares (because of the psp slim)
