You need to make a pandora and a magic memory to downgrade it

I just bought a 128mb memorystick for $7usd on ebay... I would recommend getting another memstick (has to be bigger than 32mb) and just leaving it a magic memory stick.

yeah i have to downgrade mine too from v. 3.93 i bought it used from gamestop. im getting a 4 gig here pretty soon. so your suggesting buying a smaller mem card to turn it into a magic memory stick? whats the difference between using the 4 gig and using another? might it ruin my 4 gig?

No a magic is only a magic when you put it together with a pandora, other then that its just an ordinary memory card.

so does the magic work as a memory card still? what does a memory have to do with the pandora battery? thats the pandora were talking about right?

yes i use my 1gb memory card as a normal one but left the pandora stuff on there so when ever the time to unbrick arises (about once a week ) i am ready. it still seems to work.

i know you're not serious that u brick it once a week, but how DO people brick? I've never bricked, but i don't do any xmb modding and never mess with the flash memory, so maybe thats it. I probably should make a pandora just in case though...

well the most common way for bricking is partical bricking from XMB modding but i have trouble accessing recovery in a partical brick so i do auctuly end up bricking my psp bout 3 times a month from trying to flash new fonts, gameboots, themes ect. lol all thanks to kenshinffx hu taught me how to flash lol  but its all gud gives me somthing to do when im not modding.
