Post by: RoBot1ks on March 31, 2008, 07:22:25 PM

Ever since I did this mod people at my school have been asking me to fix their stuff...lol
I guess that's what I get for showing off my psp
I am currently fixing my friend's ipod and going to fix another friend's nintendo ds and then some guy's psp in my third block.. :boxed:

very solid. I like the switch. Havent seen that position before. Cant tell from teh vid but it looks like the trim is alittle bit chipped on the left of the switch. If you could clean that up [or if im mistaken] then it would be super clean

Hey bro.
Nice PSP. Where'd you get the LED's?
Got a hold switch activated green LED PSP myself but the colors don't look nearly as good.

How do you go about unsoldering them?

How do you go about unsoldering them?
This might not be the right way to do it, but I just took my soldering iron and put it on one end of the led and took something and pressed on the same end at the same time. First put the iron on the (or next to) the led. then at about the same time, let the solder melt, and take something and press on the same side you are desoldering
Not the most efficient way of doing it, since I busted a few leds in the process

Yeah, lol. But there is a problem with one of my phats. It might be the motherboard. It won't turn on, but the green light shows up. It doesn't have CFW

The psp in the video is from ebay, and the psp that won't turn on is from one of my friends at school. he said he dropped it alot. The green light turns on, but no hint of boot, or anything. Might have to get a new motherboard...you think?

Update: The two leds at the bottom are currently out of order...well, permanently..I just have a trigger mod now....but thats fine. I'll use those extra wires for my umd drive when I get my jewel from batch 5 (It will be a while)
