get gameboot files you already have in flash0 (backup first
open with RCOedit ( any other program that can open those types of files)
either edit the old ones or make new versions of whats in the files, then replace them (backup first)
replace the old gameboot files in your Flash0 (backup first)
then you should have a new gameboot

RCOEDITOR is used to make gameboots longer than 3 seconds. You need to edit the opening_plugin.rco
If your trying to make your own gameboot the first thing you need to know is legally the only way to obtain the "UMD TOOLS" is from sony and they are spendy.(cough cough google) As pmf file formats are a copyrighted by sony. But I'd highly recommend reviewing this video on how to make gameboots,(cough cough make sure to read the video discription.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrSG5My4v68 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrSG5My4v68)
