The progressive genre is interesting and it's what I've probably been obsessed with most, after Alice in Chains (why did Staley have to die :(). It's generally played in uncommon time signatures and varies in style greatly. Quite often, bands incorporate a concept into their albums. These artists are greatly influenced by Pink Floyd, but sometimes you have to listen hard to hear it.

Some of the music is extremely technical and complex and I think that shows great musicmanship.
