Title: Changing faceplate again; dust-free tips?
Post by: LeadBaron on April 09, 2008, 12:45:33 PM
Any tips on how to keep any and all dust out from under the faceplate? (ie. Swiffer brushes) I have changed it before, but it took me hours to get it perfectly clean, and even then some little  :censored: found its way onto the screen.

hold the faceplate upside down (so the inside is looking at the ground)

do thesame with the PSP

and use some fine paint things (xD don't know the name) to wipe off the dust

I use camera lens brushes, but a can of air can work too...  Sometimes I set my compressor to a very low compression setting and use that, but be careful, if you don't have a liquid/oil in-line separator, it will turn your blower into a water jet, which will damage the screen.

hmm anybody ever try using a spray can upside down? works for me just spray around untill nothing doesn't spray then go at it real quick.

just kidding i never tried that. i do have this problem though. i get all mad and then the bottom side of my faceplate gets filled with scratches rather than dust =[
