Title: wii makes loud sounds

i remember noticing a weird louding sound from brawl that sounded like a printer. i never really thought about it till now. then i got mario kart (pal) and played it which also makes the same noise.   why is that?  is it the disc or the dvd drive?  if it breaks, wat can i do to repair it without sending to nintendo (wiikey)

well does it only make the sound for those 2 games? cuz if other do the same thing its the drive probably. if you think its the games go get another one and try it, if they do the same thing, well it probably the drive.
i dont know were they sell replacement dvd drives, i would say look on dx or ebay

I got a new wii yesterday and I know exactly what you mean, It's doing it for me too but I haven't tried any other games in my wii yet.
