Title: ANZAC Day
Post by: Timmy on April 24, 2008, 06:24:17 AM
They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
And in the morning
We will remember them. Lest we Forget

Gallipoli may not have been the greatest fought part of the war, but the Australian and New Zealander soldiers still went in, acting on orders, from those who know they were being sent to a certain death (in some of the battles)

May not mean much to everyone here, the battles fought in Turkey were still a highly significant part of the war

lest we forget
