ok i no this might have been asked a lot of times but i couldnt see it.....
if you hook up a smd/3mm/5mm led strait to the speaker (No sound amp) would you need a resistor?? :help:

i no ther usualy smds, but i want to have a bi-/multi-colour led's, but theyre not available as smds

i wanna say ive seen bi color smds.(ill look for it & post link) those 3mm wont be as bright

i might not be able to have them though (im using a school tech rooms) so i might not be ables to use them if there there

Ok, i know that you got an answer on this, but the truth is, it depends on the LED. if you are using blue or even green you should be fine, but you may want to do the math. Find out how much volts the thing needs to operate, and use the OHM's law.
