Alright so im getting ready to put a cold cathode ring beneath my clear XBOX jewel. I have sound reactive LEDs in my psp (using the lm386 IC) and fully understand how to recreate it in the xbox. My question is, should the IC go before the Cathode inverter, or in between the inverter and the Cathode ring?
Alternatively I may just use LEDs to light up the jewel, which will be straight forward. Which method would you recomend.
Nevermind, I found out that I can buy 4 leds from www.unique-leds.com (http://www.unique-leds.com) whose brightness is nearly equal to a cold cathode ring, dirt cheap. Wish me luck but my project is gonna have to wait because I spent all my money on GTA IV.

ic goes between input and cathode inverter :),if u did it between the cathode inverter and ring it would be pumping the lm386 full of 480 volts high frequency ac current while it only usually takes max 15volt dc current
