i have a question, what uses more power in a  modded psp el wire or leds

el wire uses way more id def out a switch on that lol

well im pretty shure u cant just wire it to a 5v potint u need some kinda converter and they are rare that small but tec_ made one but to answer ur question el paper cover the inside and make the whole thing glow that would be sick

got it a lil wrong there firstly u use a invertor cas a convertor goes from dc/dc and they are not rare any anyone can pic em up from coolight.com (http://coolight.com) i think the invertor that tec used runs from 3.6v. BTW el wire looks way cooler than leds, check tecs vid tho it does drain ur battery much faster than leds

The El wire looks pretty awesome but as stated above it drains the battery life and you will need a small inverter.

Ok, well, i dont see why you cant run it straight out of your psp 3.3v point, from what ive read they opperate at 1.5-3.0V, and with a couple of AA batteries, they can be lighten for several hours. Maybe you guys were mistaking the potentiometer part, that has nothing to do with the operating voltage.

EL wire would cost more i think but it would depent on how much you need. in regards to the inverter, i belive you still need one but i'm looking into directly wiring le wire on the mobo, must be possible but requires some investigation.
