Title: sound reactive led mod resistors help!

i want the led lights to be off completely when music is off, then i read a post said to do that i need to replace 30k ohm with a 100 ohm. so i grabbed some 100k ohm 1/4 watt 1% Metal Film Resistors and have everything connected...the leds won't light up at all...? anyone know whats the problem? any help will be appreciated! thx!!!
