... I was having trouble hearing my team mates over my music and i thought about the lm386 chip (used in psp speaker mods) and wondered if it could be used in the controller to boost the speaker in the mic(not the mic itself)...
EDIT: I now know it will work and I will post a tut for anyone who needs it later once completed...(for new and old model controllers)... Can any one tell me what 2 connectors (+,-) are used for the headphone part of the headset...

It wont really help because it is going to boost the music you playing too (Suffice to say that you are playing the music through your xbox) and not just their voice

my xbox does not play music through the headset but through the speakers (or at least that's what mine does)...i just need to know the output to the speakers...

like how to hear the voice in the headset through your speakers?
-
what he means is he will mod the headset to boost the sound of the other gamers voices using the chip used in the sound reactive led mod for the psp.

QFT and I'm not having any luck with it working...
-
what does QFT mean lol
why don't you try putting a bigger speaker in there instead?
might be a bit better
-
QFT means quoted for truth...and putting a bigger speaker would not help without a higher output...
