Title: Possible Software based Volume fix?
Post by: OMEGA_sin on May 30, 2008, 01:17:36 AM
So, I have been wondering if it is possible to use software to raise the volume on the PSP? Most cell phones are ridiculously loud and only have one speaker. The PSP (slim or fat) has 2 speakers and has an incredibly anemic sound output. It's disappointing that without headphones, at full volume, you can barely hear the audio when listening to music.

Has anyone found the files that control this in the firmware yet? I have no problem modding things in the physical sense, but coding is not in my area of expertise, so I'm clueless here.

I'm presently running 3.90 m-33 on my PSP slim, if that helps at all.

I've been searching for weeks now, and I haven't found ANY info on this, so I figured I'd ask here.

Thanks in advance :)

I don't think there's such a thing but I believe there is a converter that will boost volume of videos, and maybe vids. Check google.

There is a homebrew called light mp3 it raises the volume of mp3 extremely high but there are some problems with it like you will have to launch lightmp3 from game menu and then use it..... and also if u try to make it tooooo loud the songs start to lose their quality and it becomes all messy... but yea its worth a try........
