Title: New here - a few quick questions on rapidfire mod

Hello, I am going to buy a PIC16F84 (12 pins: 4 input 8 out) and am wondering to connect them to the controller buttons, do you just connect an output pin to the other side of the button (not the voltage side) and use the PIC to send a voltage down the wire? And where are Vcc/ground spots on the board and what voltage are they?
