Hi guys, I'm looking to mod my new God of War PSP, I'm trying to think of some things to do.
I am a beginner at soldering but I've taken apart PSP's multiple times before.
Is the L.E.D trigger mod something easy for a beginner to do?
Also I was interested in that new microphone mod, would be really cool for Skype.
Has anyone found any problems with the mod or is it 100% safe and working?
Also I was wondering about the sound. They said the new slim PSP supposedly has a higher volume, I'm on 3.90 M33-3 right now and I don't hear any difference.
Does the custom firmware limit the speaker output?
If so, know of any good clean mods (no tweeter on the umd cover :P ) mods to increase sound?

i've never heard that the psp's speakers would be better. they're just slimmer and a little bit bigger. easy mod to do is Direct connect of LEds to the speakers. solder 4 wires 8 points you're done

The Buttons are not the same as phats but you can trim them to fit the slim/

if your going to change the buttons, go to coolmods, they have just realised a good selection there. just got the metallic blue ones and they look great. :tup:

dont get a clear case lol. that defeats the whole purpose of getting the GOW slim. :) i think a GOW jewel with white leds behind it, red sound reactive leds in the triggers, and white leds in the buttons (if you keep them red) would look pretty kick ass.

Like that idea, my to cents would be to have black buttons, black trim, with red led triggers and GOW omega jewel with red backlight, that would like sweet as! also if you have the jewel, have it so you keep the red metal ring and have a small logo.

I think thats 98% perfect, the only 2 percent is the GOW jewel, I was almost contemplating buying a deep red battery cover to get rid of the existing GOW stuff.

red triggers, clear buttons with red leds, umd mod aphex85 suggested with four white leds and four red sound reactive leds in the jewel note to many leds on the front gets distracting almost a waste if you dont use it is it worth it would look good to show off though

Hey guys, I tools some of your advice and 4dp is going to be doing some work for me!
Heres the list of mods I prepared...
-4 Red LED's + 4 White LED's in an alternating pattern on the UMD dood, with the ring removed but the RED PSP logo still there. The red LED's will be sound activated, white ones are static
-Pearl white faceplate
-Silver trim
-Red LEDs under the left and right arrow buttons and the square and circle buttons
-Red LEDs in the left and right triggers
-Razorx second analog stick - red nub
-Memory access, power, and wifi LEDs changed to red
What do you think?
