Post by: nevekd128 on June 08, 2008, 06:31:57 PM
i dont know if this has been discussed or not but is there a way to connect a microphone inside the psp and have the leds be sound reactive from the micro phone? if someone with some expertise could help i think that would be pretty tight thanks.

Yes it is possible, you should check out the internal microphone mod first

hmm, the sound reactive microphone might not be the same as just doing it like the speakers, cuz thats output vs input, but idk lol

what if there was a way to reroute the micro phone sound to come through the speakers to make the thing work

You have to preamp the microphone anyway, so creating a tap to feed the sound reactive mod would not be a problem, yes it would work.

That would be interesting, but not too useful..
Output reactive is cooler.

if you did that you would get an endless loop, sound into the microphone out of the speakers back into the microphone, which creates a very loud high pitched noise if you leave it long enough, all you need to do is connect the positive / negative from the led to the positive / negative on the microphone depending on how you wire it, yes microphones have a positive and a negative, and connect the negative to the mobo somewhere, and then you will have a sound reactive microphone, ill make an example if you really need it but i think that explanation was good enough

thanks
