do i solder the wires onto the camera? cause its a non removable ribbon wire or should i just hot glue like in the tut

um well u must solder, because glue is unreliable and the connection wont be very good
u should proly disasemble the cam but if you dont want to i guess u could just solder the wires from the cam male usb to the psp female usb

yes it can, u can pretty much put the cam wherever you want as long as theres enough room

it can but it really a hassle and seeing as how i personally dont even use my drive it was no problem

and it wouldnt be that hard, just take it apart, glue, and get the wires

or you could be smart and get a second female mini usb connector, wire that up and then all you need to do is plug the cam in, that way it is easily removable, oh and put a switch on so you can turn the cam off when u want normal usb mode

i dont know if this will work but i was planning on taking a better optical lens and replacing it with the one on the choto do you think it will work. hopeing to get a better picture from it.

My main job for many years was designing cameras.
DO NOT try to replace the lens until you know what you are up against.
The focal range of a lens that small is .001 to .005 of an inch. The chances of you hacking in a lens
and getting it in the correct position would be astronomical.
Each lens has a certain focal distance. You have to know that mathematics before you start.
Light passes through the lens and crosses over, then you have to place the lens so the crossover
point execly matches the size of the image sensor. You can not shift the lens right or left, cannot
tilt it in any way or the system will never focus every again. That is why lens adaptors are so
expensive that have to be very precise.
I am not trying to tell you not to try, trying is how things are invented, I just wanted you to know what
you are up against. A lot of the calculations are calculus and I think very long and hard about messing
with it.

i thought u ment get a 2nd usb on the outside lol, althought u would still need to solder lol

lol nope if you wire a second mini usb on the inside, which requires soldering obviously but then you can just plug the usb connector from the camera in which makes it easier in the end and as i said it would be easier to remove you could even just leave the second usb there for other cool mods

Just wire it up to a DIP switch, then you can switch it on/off

thats actually a good idea becasue then i can disconnect the camera and use the usb. ill try that cause thats flippin awsoome

I don't take any credit for it, its a simple electronic switch that is normally used in these kinds of mods. I don't know why anyone else didn't say it
