Hello people, i need your help and wisdom (coz i sure don't have any at the momont, lol)
I'm in the middle of designing a new mod for the PSP UMD Door and i need a Very small motor (a Button motor for lack of a better expression), something like the one used on the UMD drive. Does anyone know where i may find something like it or similer?
Thanks in advance Folks!

Well, Cell phone vibrate motor's do the job and they are pretty small.

Sorry i should explain myself better, the motor i need looks like a button (from a shirt for example, very flat motor). problem with moble motors is that there small in hight but too long for what in need to make.

No, it's not a vibrate motor i need, this is for a new umd mod i'm working on. no rumble involed.
-
is it the umd turn table mod? as for the motor why don't you google it

A motorized UMD door that acts like a stand for watching vids? If so, a tiny micro servo would have all the power (geared) at 5V. I have one and will see if it fits in an empty UMD area...

well i might as well tell people what i'm up too. i'm making a psp UMD spinner that allows you to still use the umd drive. taken me awhile too work this out and i only need a motor to finish it. this is why i need a motor like the one powering the umd drive. tryed looking on google but i'm not having much luck.

get a spare umd drive from ebay and use the motor it has a + and a - you just need to dismantle it, it should be arround $20 or £10, on second thoughts dont because its ac not dc

looks like that's gonna be the only way, cool i'll do that. Thanks for your help guys!

dude just get the motor off a cell phone and remove the little plates on the top that make it vibrate, aint no such thing as a motor designed for vibrating, they have plates on the bottom which through it off balance to make it vibrate, not kryptonite in the middle that somehow makes it vibrate

lol! yeah i know, it the shape of those motors thats the problem not how small it is. the motor has to be fixed so the motor is in the center. when i tried one, it still got in the way of a umd. the motors on the psp umd drive is flat, it's only a couple of milimeters
in hight so it should really well. plus you can keep the umd drive!
