ok
I just built my first computer 2 days ago and It works fine. With onboard video at least.
But I bought a XFX GeForce 8400 PCI Express x16 video card and it is way to big.
I have a mATX computer and an Inwin case but it is only 3.6'' thick and my video card is like 6''.
There obviously isn't enough room in the case but I'm confused.
I was searching newegg.com for any video card small enough but there wasn't any.
Is it impossible to get a video card that fits the case? I HOPE not.
I was just wondering if the type of video card has some special form factor name or something.
PLEASE HELP!

I think you need a low profile adapter bracket.

no thats not what I need
I mean I would have to cut a hole in the case to fit it in
the video card is too tall
I need to know where to find a video card that sits only about half the hight of normal cards

I was looking around newegg and it seems like I need a ati Pci low profile video card
the low profile nvidia card's all look to tall
is this what I need? :eyebrow:

Just check the Damn dimensions, measure the space you have, then find a card which is less than it.
