Title: RROD fixing kit?
Post by: PspKicks316 on June 28, 2008, 05:18:36 PM
What's best, getting the kits with the 8 screws, 8 nylon washers, and 16 metal washers, or the Team Executer RROD kit?
Team Executer kit : link (http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/zz-36-xsrk)
RROD kit : link (http://item.express.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ExpressItem&item=250263565228&FROM_MERCHANDIZING=1QQssPageNameZKP_Merch_CLOSED_ITEM_SIMILAR_LINK)

EDIT: Just found part numbers for all of the washers/screws at my local hardware store! Anyone know if the washer/screw way is better then the Executer way?

Only if you're in the US will I consider it. Shipping alone is $5 the way I ship, then whatever it costs me to get the parts at the store... You're probably better off getting it on eBay at that point XD But if I get a paypal account and you're in the US I'll let you know.

Any chance you have already went to lowes and purchased these? I searched the numbers on their website and it shows that they don't exist. Of course I'm sure its likely that lowes dosen't list EVERY part on their website.

Lowes doesn't show small items like washers and screws on there site. It will be in the store though

If your that cheap technically you don't need an unlocker thing. I have never used one and taken my 360 apart many times. This is of course to say that all the little plastic clips are pretty badly scraped up.

In some cases just replacing the x clamp wont do any thing. In that case I suggest using this tutorial http://llamma.com/xbox360/repair/ring_of_light_x-clamp_fix.htm (http://llamma.com/xbox360/repair/ring_of_light_x-clamp_fix.htm)
