please reply asap..
can i use 32gauge wire as replacement for 30 gauge wire in modding my psp??
-
as long as it is thin and it fits ;) and doesnt cause any shorts
-
the 32 awg kynar wire is thinner than the 30 awg..
are you sure its ok?
-
as long as you can solder it to the leds there is no problem
-
no problems man
the main thing you have to watch for when it comes to thickness is voltage rating as it could burn out if its rated lower then what your using
but 32 AWG should be able to handle any voltage you will come across when modding a PSP as i've used 0.1mm magnet wrap with no issues so i don't think you'll have any problems :D
-
another question please..
about the LEDs..
the L.E.D.s used in backlight of cellphones
are they the same or can i use it for modding in PSP??
i dont know if they are SMD L.E.D.s..
-
they sure are the same. That's what I was going to use in my psp when I got around to it.
-
all my leds are salvaged off old cell phones,they work great and are realy bright
-
DANG!!! There is smaller wire than the 30AWG? :faint: yeah, it should work though, but good luck stripping the wire.
-
@jwhite lightning..
yes there is, in fact there is 35 or 36 AWG which is the thinnest..
see AWG in wikipedia for details..
theres no worries in stripping hehe.. tnx man..
@all

you can easily strip the wire with your soldering iron ;)
don't forget to clean the soldering iron after it.
-
@talos
thanks for the welcome.. :tup:
@dubbledutch
thanks for the info, its a good idea.. :clap:
-
just put the wire on the iron
then put a knife on the wire, and then slide the wire away from the iron (be sure to keep pressing a little bit with your knife
so the insulating will get off the wire.
-
i use a different way to remove the insulating from the wire. I just dip part of it in the flux then the solder just burns it off perfectly for me.
-
I just use my teeth lol,
I think everyone has there own way of doing it
-
+1 for teeth :D
-
haha i use my teeth to
-
teeth come in handy sometimes dont they?
-
haha.. i use my teeth also.. but only with small wires. :hifive:
-
i guess ALOT of people use teethh lol :huh:
-
i used to use my teethe but i keep on breaking the wire :confused: so yea found a different way..
