Post by: Blazinkaos on July 07, 2008, 03:08:25 PM
Hey guys im planning on making a PS2 Rapid Fire controller and i searched around on the site and found one thing but doesnt really help at all.
https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=8734.0 (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=8734.0)
I searched google seems as there a lot of 360 controllers and PS3 rapid fire controllers but none for the PS2. So if anyone know a TUT that know of that would help what Im looking for.

There's no way that will work. You need at least a 555timer circuit or something..

You can get a 555timer at an electronics store like RadioShack

ill draw you up a schematic later for wiring it up. its fairly easy

http://www.eleinmec.com/figures/003_03.gif (http://www.eleinmec.com/figures/003_03.gif) that should help you a little, where it says device, thats gonna be your relay. anyone else want to jump in and finish this up for me, im kinda tired

ight thanks pspkick. The diagram helps a little and dnt know all the point on it and is this on the ps2 controller. I dnt where like all the power source connection and all that is on the controller.

lol...the diagram is of the 555 timer ic, for power i recommend leaching from another source and then using a new pushbutton. but further explanation of the diagram. the grey square in the middle represents the ic, the lines with the numbers coming off of the square represent the leads coming off the ic, the smaller rectangles are resistors, the two lines running parallel to one another are capacitors, and the square that says device, thats gonna be your relay, what it doesnt have is a switch coming off of vss, you want to put a switch there, then you want to take the leads coming off of the relay and solder them to the points where the r1 connects to the main board, hope this helps

yea once i get the 555 it should make a lot more sense but most of what u said helped. It will be more understandable once i get the thing so i will get back to u once i get the timer.

dont know if you still need this or not, but i made you a schematic of what you will need to do

(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi126.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fp109%2Fnecropire%2F5552.png&hash=a8fc3dd83e18b5ab24764c6a15be6f20d33a257b)
the two leads on the far right are going to get soldered onto the points where R1 is attached to the main board. make sure you add a momentary push button or it will be non stop rapid fire

thanks for the support kink192. ill ry it and see if it turns out right and the momentary button where can i get this like from a component rather then buying it.
