i dont know if its in the right section or not but whatever ............. all psps have a secret reset settings combination its similar to format flash1 and reset settings option in the recovery menu but the thing is that it works on psps with original firmwares too :yess: ..after this you will get the screen that you get when you switch the psp on the first time.....
to do this : Press and hold the [](square), <>(triangle), SELECT and the START buttons after switching the psp on for about 2 seconds ..... remember that you have to do this before you see the startup screen...
Warning: This will reset all you psp settings.
EDIT: I did not discover this... found it on a website and i believe it was originally discovered by Malthieulh.

I think it's just a faster way of restoring default settings.
This takes less time then going to Settings, system settings and then restoring to default.
Quite cool.
Hey maybe it can unbrick your PSP. :w00t: ... :eyebrow: naaa

Only one way to find out...

Very handy info, thanks Bhawan

It can also help when changing your Language Settings back to English after you changed them to Japanese in an effort to see if you could understand any of it only to find you have no idea how to change it back........ Which didn't happen to me...... o_0
-
Wow it works...but i hate having to change all my stuff back
-
i think someone should post a warning saying that if you do this you WILL have to set everything back, seems a lot of people are complaining lol

This could be used to fix a custom firmware PSP if you mess up the flash (been there done that)
I have yet to do it, but I HAVE used the recovery menu to do the same thing.
In advanced just select format flash0 and reset settings and it does this.

Hey guys!
I found this to be very useful after using Pandora on my PSP to flash from 3.71M33-4 CF to Original 3.71.
For those that don't know if you use Pandora to flash a PSP from Custom Firmware to Original you will get a brick because of the flash1 settings.
If you use this secret combination to reset after flashing it will fix it. :w00t:
So yeah SWEET!

now what the guy above me said is a handy little piece of information.
