Title: Rapid fire nunchuck wii???

Does anyone know of a way to add rapid fire to the nunchuck.  I am trying to get the z button to do this for House of the dead.  A 555 timer will not work because it low voltage range is 3v and that is the max on the wiimote.

may be possible with a pic microcontoller...something like a 12f683 but programming it is half the problem...
