New here, not new to PSP, not new to modding other things (non-PSPs), but new here and new to the idea of breaking the factory seal on my fat and/or slim. Been lurking this site for a long time. How can any PSP lover not? Thought it was abotu time to join. No worries, very few noob questions from me, I know how to use google and the search features. I'm waiting patienctly for the 2 analog tutorial and that will probably be my first PSP mod. I'm not in to AEsthetics. I am all for expanding and improving functionality though. No offense to any modders who enjoy improving the look of their PSPs. I respect all modders, even those who rely on tutorials.
Anyway, long enough intro. I'm here. In and out, here and there. Cya 'round.

Thanks for all the welcomes, I suspect they'll be more. I have good soldering skills, but mostly like to break things up and reassemble differently. I've post one mod so far (MAME Arcade) and I have another documented (sorts) of a laptop to digital picture frame I'll post soon to the PC section.
I'ts been so long since I've used a mutli-meter that I forgot how to do so... That's be my first palce to ask for help.
Mostly, I want to creat an animation light table, I have an LCD screen that worked when I ripped it out but the backlight needs some special circuitry to get it to start up and stay illuminated. That's my issue. All I need to do it light it up with a battery or batteryies, then I can move ahead with creating the box.
I've tried just connecting batteries with suggested voltages but nothing.
It's an LCD from an old dell laptop.
