So I replaced the case on my DS lite. When I push the power switch the green LED comes on for about 2 seconds, then the unit turns of. Neither of the screens show anything while the LED is on.
Any guesses to what the problem is?
Thanks.
EDIT: I don't know if this matters but the right trigger receiver is gone. It was broken off while I was opening the old case. But if I remember correctly the unit still worked even after I finished opening the old case.

I have a similar problem right now, I'm assuming that there is a short somewhere or a fuse is blown :dntknw: but I'm new to DS modding.
-
Yeah. I'll do some testing on the unit but I may end up having to sell this one to someone who just wants parts.
-
I'm waiting for my case to come from DX and my Pulsevu, then I'll be checking to see what is the matter with my DS lite as well.
Good luck with yours :hifive:

It sounds like a blown fuse. Make sure ALL of the connectors, especially the screens, are plugged in all the way. If that doesn't fix it then it looks like a blown fuse and you'll need to bridge it. Wait for someone else to come along and post a pic of where they are. Or search. Or google.

Yeah I checked and rechecked the screen connectors, as well as the wifi and mic cables. How do I check for blown fuses and how easy are they to fix?
Thanks.

Take a look here (http://www.m3wiki.com/index.php/Nintendo_DS_Lite_:_Repair_a_broken_console_(blown_fuse)) on DS lite fuses

It's real easy to fix, just bridge it.

Would you recommend using just solder as the bridge or a wire?
-
when I bridged my psp backlight fuse, I used a little piece of wire, but I think if you want, solder would work fine as well

Well judging from how easy this repair sounds, I hope it really is just a blown fuse. Now to go find a multimeter....

How do I test the fuse? (I think it's F2 on the page Tw1nky posted)
-
Try bridging it with something metal (paperclip, tweezers, something else that is small and metal) And see if it will turn on while the fuse is bridged
-
I bridged the F2 fuse... still nothing. Suggestions?

Gah... I think it's dead. Now the green LED won't even light...
