The wired controllers are notorious for this. You have a busted wire with within the cord. When you move it just right, the busted wire makes contact and works. Then, when you move it again, the wire shifts and you loose contact.
This break usually happens within a few inches of the controller. The main cause (but not the only) is from the cord being wrapped around the controller numerous times.

Yeah that probably that was one my theory that may have been the issue so the only way i can fix this is by gettn a new xbox or is there another way make this controller work again...

Well... I wouldn't get a new xbox. Just replace the controller.

oh yea lol woops my bad i i meant the controller not the console....so darn i cant fix this controller no mater wat...

Well, it can be fixed. It just depends on how much your time and effort is worth. In the end, you may want to save yourself the hassle and spend the money for a new one.
You have a couple options. You could split open the cable and try to locate the break. Then solder the wires together. Or, you could find another wired controller and swap out the cable. Again, that requires soldering.

Thats what i was thinking of doing but where to get the cable idk...
Oh soldering isnt a hassle i been doing it for couple years now and i solder a lot my psp and mod it up so yea...
Well money is scarce right now im trying to save it and find better way then buying a new controller but if i get this i would know wat else to do if it happens again..

Yea, see... that's part of the hassle. If you don't have a broken wired controller laying around, you'd have to see if you could find one at a local game store or on eBay. But then, you're still spending money. And you won't know what condition that controller cable is in until you get it.
I know it suck buying them new. I just bought a new one for a keyboard/mouse mod I'm doing after a used one I bought off eBay died from the same problem, a busted wire in the cord. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet.

Darn ok well thanks for the help that you have given im gonna try see if i can find the broken wire and solder it should be that bad if i take my time with out breaking the cable but thanks man....
