Ok I followed this tutorial in rapid fire for a CG controller
https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=21341.0
and switched the ground from top pin on trigger to bottom to the bottom pin. I used the radioshack 555 timer and wen I put it all together the button only acted as another right trigger- no rapid fire? Can anybody explain?
tHIS IS THE TIMER i USED

Where is God's name does it say to use the top or bottom pins? You use the middle pin. Got pics of your wiring? That would be really helpful, so we can see what's wrong.
Oh nevermind I see where it shows it. So wait, you used the bottom pin instead? That's probably why, use the top one.
If I'm right, that bottom pin isn't ground. That would mean the 555 isn't working because it's not connected to ground, giving you another R trigger.

I thought since I was using a CG aall the grounds are backwards?

Wire it to the top pin and tell me what happens.

Ok, trying it right now....

BUMP. I'm having the same problem now! HALP! My left rapidfire buttons doesn't work either ;.;
-
Yeah, I changed the grounds and it still doesn't work. Maybe it doesn't work on CG? If so, I just wasted $20 because I have 2 CG controllers only
-
I wasted $30 on parts (enough to almost make 2 if I got like 2 more parts.) I can go try it out on my old controller, but I really don't want to strip that of it's rumble too, or drill MORE holes...

you should of buy a chip 7.99 much cleaner and works on both old and new.
