Title: PSP won't play games

hi all,

I need help with my PSP, it happened a while ago and I thought it was totaly broken until I heard about this site.  My PSP won't play games no more even movies.  it starts up fine, I heard it has something to do with a mechanism on the UMD door that renders loading games or movies.

well depends dose the disc spin or drive make noises? any activity at all? if so then you either need a new drive or new mobo only way to find out is to open and replace it if nothing happens its posible the switch is just broken in witch case just replace it

i think u have a problem with ur lens.so all u do is open the door u will see the lens now see if it is crooked or dirty

it might be a software problem/idstorage keys 100 to 106 may have messed up and there is no way to get those back...........not possible......you can try an app called "key cleaner"... it can tell you some stuff...but it cant fix it...

or somthing is jamming the gears, one time i found a gain of sand  :eyebrow:

had the same problem with my phat. i added some silicon greese to the silver bar had holds the lens inplace (applied on the ends of) after that it worked fine. check to see if there is dirt (or sand, lol) surronding those points. that could be the problem.
