Is it possible to switch from trigger light to sound reactive (chip or no chip) with the wifi switch using same leds? If possible can someone make a diagram? I dont think its possible. Can someone give some kind of suggesion of how i can have both with some kind of switch n
if possible the same leds.
please, and thanks

no i dont think its possible

Get a small 3 pin on/on switch and put it somewhere in the psp. Then, wire it like this:
1 pin on wifi switch goes to GND, the other goes to the middle pin on the new switch. This way when its on, the leds light up. The left (or right) pin goes to the GND for the regular lighting, and the right (or left, depending on which the other one is on. The opposite side of it.) pin goes to the GND for the LM386 chip.
Both GNDs, for the regular and the chip, go to the wifi switch GND I mentioned.
This way, when the wifi switch is turned on, the leds turn on, and that external switch switches between the regular lighting GND and the chip GND, completing the circuit for whichever it's set to, turning that one on and the other off.

Yep you got it kicks you just want to say that the switch should be double pole ( 2 sets of three contacts )
so that you can keep the left and right channel separate.
-
Yeah that too :taunt:

I got confused when gr8npwrfl said the switch should be double pole. I know what the switch u are talking about, but i dont see why it matters, and now confused on how to wire this up. Also this needs the audio amp chip? Im modding the psp at my friends place, n he said he thinks he destroy the chip.
Thanks.

If you're doing sound reactive, you're best to go with the LM386 way, instead of direct wiring.
-
Yea, im going to have to get the chip, direct connect donest look as bright.

The switch you are thinking of only has three contacts in a row.
The type of switch I am talking about has two rows of three.
If you wire your sound reactive mod through the first type of switch both the left
and right triggers would be tied together, then if you press the right switch both the
left and right would light up at the same time.
If that is ok with you then you can use a single row switch.
If you want each switch to operate independent of the other you need
a two row switch so they are separate in the push button mode.
With the switch slid one way the lm386 drives both the leds to the
beat of the music. With the switch slid the other way, the button
press makes the corresponding led to light up.

In the top part of the picture the switch has two rows of contacts
This is called a double pole switch.
The double row keeps the left and right trigger leds operating separately
so when the right switch is pressed only the right led goes on.
If you wire them to a single row switch ( Single Pole ) then the two
leds will interact because they are connected to each other.
So when you press the right switch both the left and the right go on.
Just depends on how you want it to work

i get it now. thanks
