japanese is context based and males dont tend to use proverbs,it is determined by the context wh you are talking about,i said (in romaji print this time so you guys can read it) nihongo o hanashimasu ka? which directly translated means "speak japanese?"but it could mean you speak japanese,he,she,them,everyone!
thats what makes it so hard to learn,I've been learning for a few months now
