 hello my names marcy  short for marcella    :whoosh:

and yep  you guess it right im from australia. im 32 yrs old  :fear: dunno if thats too old to sign up this site that i googled it  :tup: its cool site ..  anyway enough blabbing meself here ..  i will soon to have slimline ps2 soon  its coming inthe mail from ebay  :tup:. cheap as   but lens dont work i ;ve been told ..but i dont care as i plan to take it apart and clean it or change lens over . i ;ve seen some of your work here of how to do it . so will give that a go  :laughing:  and then possibly  get it painted by one of my workmates. yeah i work at car detailer smash repair.  so painting should be either free or dirt cheap .  depends how i want it ..   what doyou think of colourful glitter in clear paint all over it ...???  dunno ... still toying my ideas...

thanks guys and girls

well i finally got my slimline today .  i had a good look at it  andyep i see lots of dust all around these plugs  .  so  i will give it a good clean.  is there any method or best ways to clean the len?  i heard its rubbing acolcole.  but i never heard it in austraila......  im thinking it must be similer to metho???  (methelated spirits) or turbs?

yep rubbing alcohol works good,it might be called isopropyl alcohol,if you cant get that you can try some lens cleaner from a cd/dvd cleaner kit
or even some eyeglass cleaners work(i used zooks on my xbox and it worked great)

When you come to paint it how about a midnight purple with sparkle and of course a laquer finish ;)

yep  my slimline does work  but scratches disks  instead..  i havent had the time to pull it apart yet ...  due to damn full time work .. but will try do it over this weekend.. ok thanks for these tips   will get  lens cleaner from shop .. shouldnt cost too much anyway .
