even though its a phat psp, it shouldnt affect a slim either....
-
Ya it shouldn't.
And if something does happen there is a sound fuse on slim so you can just bridge it ;)
-
I just tried to wire 2 green and 1 blue to one speaker and the blue does not lite up. Do I have to wire all blue to one speaker and the green to another?

I don't think you need to cause Ive done it on the phat, but maybe its different on the slim.
But give it a try.
Bridging any old fuse willy nilly is a terrible thing/practice to do/get into.
Imagine an electrition/electronic equipment technition doing this.
Fuses are their for a reason, everyone single component serves a purpose.
If you need elaboration then feel free to ask.
Thanks for the Info :victory:

I just finished wiring 3 green to right speaker and 3 blue to left speaker and it works fine. Waiting on new screen to come in I can give this back to my friend.
For some reason, the volume seems lower even though it is set to max...is there not enough power for the speakers to operate at full blast?

Yes infact i have over 20 leds
about 8 on the back umd door ROF
and the rest on the psp it self and 1 set goes to the right speaker connection and the rest on the left speaker
no problem at all :) 3-5 months and still going strong not even a led burned out

lol listen , fuse is only their incase :censored: happends.
let say u get a surge while ur psp is plugged in most likley ur fuse will pop.
what the lightly hood of getting a surge when ur psp is plugged in?
i mean after all am pretty sure we all hav e surge protector now! lOL
fuses on the psp are not so so much of a use, i still think SONY purposly put them their so they would blow so we would be in need to buy a new one =) i had mine bridge for since the day i moded ma psp :) never had nutting go wrong.

Same here. I don't really see the logic in the fuse for the psp slim. The phat didn't have one and there was no problems there...

The phat does have speaker fuse, just next to the right speaker connection. i'd think it would be a bad idea to leave them out. i know power surge protectors are comon use these days but if something were to go wrong at least the fuse would pop and not the Mobo.

The sound seems lower after the installation of 6 LEDs...Do I have to wire LEDs in series for the sound to stay at max? I have them wired in parallel right now and the volume seems lower than usual.
Also, how can I wire more than 1 color LED to each speaker because if I wired 2 colors, one color would never work. My friend wanted the colors of the mexican flag but i could wire the white lights in cuz they wont work.
-
unfortunatly, a series setup won't fix that problem, plus the last few leds on the kind of setup would be dimmer than the ones before it. what two colours are you trying to use dude?
-
I tried to put red+ white on one speaker and white didn't lite up. I put white+green on other speaker but white didn't light up. MY friend wanted it to look like a mexican flag.
-
is there any other way to hook up the leds to a power sourch in the psp w/o hooking it up to the speaker.Im nto sure cuz I dont even own a psp just seems to me there would be another component you could hook it up to
