i Pandora my friends psp which he bricked and after that his psp wouldn't go on standby the power led would just flash for awhile then it would shutdown so i opened and i changed the power board and it did the same thing so i put the old power board back now the psp would just turn on then turn off i cant get to the xmb or anything plz help

Then it sounds like you have a bad motherboard.

If it will not boot Pandora and still just flashes and turns off
99% of the time the motherboard has gone bad

lol dats wat i was going to do use it as spare parts or as genie pig  lol not sure
btw now i just have to tell him that i cant fix it and that its broken beyond repair hope i can get it for free or for 15-30 bucks lol

No double posting.
try and figure out if theres a metal piece touching the motherboard when faceplate is screwed in.

agreed. had the same problem withtwo of the colsoles i've worked on. if you find there is metal touching the mobo, tape that area so you don't have the same problem. should fix it. check near the left speaker, it's always the culprit in my experiance.

Don't Use CAP Lock. It makes it seem like you are yelling and gets annoying.

Also then swap it with a different one to see if it works.

 ya i had this problem. i just re-dissasembled my PSP, drank a corona, and reassembled the PSP. wokrs like a champ ever since
