Title: Tried GIMP for the first time

I have seen a few people say they use GIMP for making Sigs and other things.
So I decided to give it a try, I put a portable version of 2.4 on my jump drive so I could mess around with some graphics while at work.

I dont know if its because I am so used to Photoshop or not but I just cant get the hang of this program.

I use the Gimp 2.6 for all of my work currently. Its more basic than Photoshop, But when you get the hang of it you can get many great effects equal to those, sum even better than those you can get on PS. But its alot harder to get the same effect on the gimp.

When I have used photoshop I cannot seem to get the hang of it. I much prefer using the gimp, it just depends what you have learnt first I guess.

lol, i used gimp before PS, and i got know PS pretty quick, but gimp i just couldnt use. i didnt know how to work the font, soo....

Have you ever used paint.net. It is really good and free. Almost as good as photoshop it has alot of built in effects,layers,ect. Im not the best artist but I always use this.
