Bridge the power fuse I think, you f**cked it up because it WAS ON.
You NEVER EVER work on something when it's on. NEVER.
It's THE stupidest thing you can ever do.
-
how do i bridge it i dunno,,,, lol it was workin fine its wen i wasp utin back da lcd/... can you tell me how to do that.. thanks
-
would i need a new mobo....i dont plan on changin it, if i could fix this one i would..deres no scratches or anything dat broke of everything is fine.
-
Omg >.>
Well, first off, do not double post! It's against the rules.
Also, just solder a wire from one end of it to the other...
You don't need a new mobo...
Don't bridge it just yet, wait until someone else says to so that we're 100% sure that's what you need.
-
ok, thanks, but solder one wire from where to where. from the power board to where if you have a diagram that would be much apprecited. but i'll wait until other people confirm. i really need to get this fixed :cry2: :cry2: :cry2:
-
The FUSE. This has nothing to do with the powerboard, I said the FUSE.
Wait for other input.
You can wait a day or two without a psp.
-
:faint: :faint: :beg: :faint: :cry2: :cry2:
-
plz wait for people to answer not just spam as pspkicks said.
-
oo0o0 lol.... i didn't know that lol. do you have any suggestions that can help me fix it ? thanks
-
i'm not sure where that is located on the psp, i think it is a short. the same thing happened wit my other psp when i was changing the houseing it shoted due to the lcd cage. i had to put some electric tape over it. the one that i'm having the problem with is the one you said i could of die from lol. i had it on while i was puting it back together.

Bridging a fuse is never really a good idea, expecially when the fuse is rated at 0.5 amperes.
Because if there is another surge of 0.5A or higher, then your motherboard circuitry would be completely destroyed. And not to mention if it surged when you were working on it, and the 0.5 amps went across your heart then you would be dead.
Kay wait, then how come everyone bridges them instead of replacing them...? @_@
i had it on while i was puting it back together.
You blew it, didn't short. You CAN'T do that when something is on! You blew the fuse. Replace it. I'm sure Alien will be able to tell you exactly what fuse to get, he's good at that.
-
well a quick search on google: PSP Power Fuse
Gave me this
(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.llamma.com%2FPSP%2Frepair%2Fimages%2FPSP_fuse%2FTd-Fuse.jpg&hash=dce7d16cfa5ee858e319a3269cbb3ebd61738e72)
You'll need to replace the fuse, So next time: Less spamming and more searching ;)
-
i checked, is it the TD fuse i have to bridge or replace ?
EDIT: i saw this on llama before they bridged they fuses , where do i get an extra one because all i can do is bridge it
-
where do i get an extra one because all i can do is bridge it
It's just gonna magically appear in front of you, didn't you know that?
Oh, I dunno. Go buy one online or at a store maybe?
-
Wow all your answers are wrong wrong if the power fuse would be burned the psp wouldent have any Power, since its the circuit that spreads the power to the mobo it wouldent even flash thats logic.Probly something else is shortring by making contact with the lcd cage just unsolder your leds test it and if it works resolder it.And like kicks always says when you f**k your psp up never work on your psp when its on duhhhh. and if it were your fuse theres no need to replace just brige it youll end up breaking your mobo by installing new fuse.

He's not new, LaCowhatever had an old account before this.
let me rephrase: stop being mean to all members in certain regards
this information isn't common to everyone, and gracious, kind help is what should be provided..thats what we're here for..not asking if they're stupid then insulting their overall intelligence despite being in context of one thing that they do not know
and him having an account before this does NOT justify being insulting
-
i agree. You shouldent snap on someone because tgey said a little somthing wrong. As far as the fuse, I would just purchase a cheap, broken psp and steal the fuse from it.
-
I still say replace/bridge the fuse. Bridging it is fine.
-
i deleted my post by mistake when cleaning in this topic, but
again,
invest in a new one if you feel necessary, and again, i have 2 old partially broken, non-blown mobos... so instead of paying 50, you can bargain one out of me if you need it :P
also attempt a bridge, as trying will not hurt, it will only strengthen your chances
as for pspkicks
do NOT tell me what to do; do my job?
i WAS, by telling YOU to stop insulting other's intelligence and getting back on topic, which i did at the end of my last, now deleted, post
-
thanks all. i'll try bridging the fuse this week when i get time.
-
i bridged the fuse, and it still didn't work. the power light just blinks every time i try to put on the power.
-
Sounds like a fried mobo to me..
-
ya i agree with jumbo. i did that to one of my PSP's, tried bridging it, still no go. so go on ebay and get a new one. dont use llama - that mobo is a rip off 109.99 :fear: for a mobo. Noooooo
