Title: Need help replacing cooler on ati 4850

and im installing a t-rad 2 with 2 - 92mm fans, here are some pics.

now to my problem, if i wire the 2 - 92mm fans to the 12v rail i get the blue screen of death on xp, but if i plug in the stock fan the card works perfect, can someone tell me how to hook up the 2 - 92mm so that the card will work and stop giving the bsod, so i dont need stock fan plugged in. the 92mm fans are 3 wire.

so i put gpu in no software, no drivers, and it works.

install driver - still works

but when i install catalyst control center it starts doing same thing again.

not the card.

but i have to plug stock fan into card for it to work, and not give me the blue screen of death.

Post by: aZiZ1 on November 03, 2008, 07:34:38 PM: Last time i checked the catalyst control center monitors the power usage and to make sure if the fan is working, the temp probe on the graphic's card could be sending wrong signals/or when the control center doesnt detect power usage from the card it thinks the card is malfunctioning, so it "bsod's" to ensure the card doesnt burn up.
