Title: How to find out chipset without opening up?

Er, how can you find out what drive chipset you have without opening your wii up?
And, what's the best overall modchip?

I got my wii back in...March/April-ish timeframe. What might I have? Which chip should I try to get?

get the wiikey v2 it is compatible with all chip sets (except of course the new ones that are being sealed with epoxy )

I think I'd wait for that. It's not even out yet I thought.
Wiikey never updates their stuff either...

I mean, I don't care about gamecube games or imports, so I don't care about support for that.

I have no problem soldering and I've installed chips before, so I'm fine.

Sweet :3 and WiikeyV2 will work on D2C and pretty much all drives I read. It's specs also sound pretty awesome

pretty sure its a d2c as well, i installed a chip for my cousin and he got it arond april?
