Title: Backlight Ribbon Latch
Post by: amurphy345 on October 17, 2008, 12:29:09 PM: Recently, i broke the latch off of my psp's back light ribbon connector. the little black thing broke of and the white sides did too. this has to be a common problem because of how delicate the latch is. is there any possibility of getting the power from some where else or reconnecting the ribbon so that it will work? this was the position it was in and the back light wasn't coming on. also, do you need to take out the battery to put the ribbon in, or can you just test it with a restart? any help will be appreciated!

Dude, tape is fine if you do it correctly.

Best bet overall is solder it if you can, or just hot glue it like this guy said.

That's because it's not connected right -_-*
What were you doing to break it? Worst case you blew the fuse and need to bridge it...

if the backlight stops working :taunt: make sure its connected properly before making that assumption tho.
