Title: New Rapidfire Method (No Chip) question
Post by: Epoculips on October 18, 2008, 07:58:31 PM
Questions:
Does the method work without 30 gauge wire, or is it necessary?

Do I have to solder to get it to work? Or can i just press it against the necessary places?

Also, does the 30 gauge wire have to be solid or stranded?

Thanks

1) You need wire..any wire will do.
2)Yes you need to solder.
3)Doesn't matter.

Also, don't complain when it doesn't work.
ONLY works on old wireless controllers, and only works when the batteries are drained to a certain point.

No. Just be sure you don't burn out the LED with the soldering iron.

One last thing, on the momentary switch does it matter which cord it connected where?
Or is it as long as they're separate and touching different places, it's good.

Oh and also, so the point is just soldered to the base if the LED? and which of the two "red" points work better?
Does anyone have a closeup picture of how or where they soldered it.

Just solder it to the point marked in the picture -_-*

Yes the momentary switch needs to be wired correctly if you're using a tact switch. If not there's no polarity.
Basic electronics knowledge...

|  | <-----If those are the two prongs coming from the underside, it matters which wire is connected to which? How are you supposed to know the difference of the two prong

ALSOOO!!!

If I accidentally solder like the other "pin trigger things", like if the solder touches the other two around it, will it affect the controller?

dude, what would you think? yes it will matter its called a bridge, and this is bad. you may need to buy a premoded controler.  good luck, it sounds like you are going to need it.

Ok, basically all of these questions have been answered in some form in the first thread, read through it entirely, trust me it may be boring, but with your questions it seems like you haven't.
