Ignore the mess in the background, as you can tell the work I've put into this has taken a toll.

You need a chip...there's no PWM in ps3 controllers...looking good though.

he never said he wasn't using a chip.  he just said no preprogrammed chips.

My guess is you are using op amps if it isn't a timer chip.  What type of controllers does it work on?  no no don't tell I will wait for the tut.

Looks good so far, this otta shake things up a bit  :w00t:

Contrary to what many people thought was impossible, it does use a 555 timer chip (stated in the video). It took lots of thought on how to get around the ps3's crazy button configuration on the inside.

Oh, 555 timer. That was possible we just didn't know how :taunt:
Great work!

Some bad news... I was planning on releasing the tutorial today, but due to the controller breaking from unforeseen circumstances while the tutorial was being made, I'm going to have to push back the release date of the rapid fire until I get a new controller.

A friend of mine was with me assisting with the tutorial, and shook me up a little while I was working with the solder gun. The shake made me connect a part of the controller that completely ruins the controller and is 98% unfixable. Even worse than that, the controller was not mine, it was a friend that graciously donated his controller. So now I have to start over the rapid fire and when I'm done I'll be giving the new controller to my friend.

This brought to my attention how careful you have to be during this one step of the tutorial and could easily happen to someone who just has shaky hands, so the good news is, I'll be adding a simple solution to this problem (that I should have thought of earlier)  that will protect this problem happening to you at all so that way you will not have to worry about messing this part up.

Nice cant wait do you think it will work on ds3 controllers since you have a siaxis and not all motherboards are the same

I'm almost 100% positive that it will work on DS3 controllers. I tried to make the design as universal as possible that way it will work on all versions of the controllers. I'm pushing for the tutorial controller to be a DS3 because I've gotten many questions about that. Unfortunatly you may have to remove one of the vibration motors to make everything fit properly.

It's been rough. I have been experiencing unexpected delays for the past week on this tutorial, but I can gladly say that it does work on dualshock3 (not really completed but I'm 99.99999% sure) and the tutorial is going into its final stages so it should be out very very soon. The tutorial will feature both SIXAXIS and DualShock3.
