Title: PSP Phat cannot power on by switch
Post by: asphodeli on October 23, 2008, 06:42:15 AM
Hi all,

My PSP is unable to power on by the power switch, and I have to resort to using Pandora's Battery to turn it on. Strangely, it is able to detect the hold switch, so I don't think the powerboard is damaged; have checked all fuses and they seem to be working. A friend of mine suggested taking the whole motherboard out and testing it outside the PSP case in case it is a short from the casing, but I think that would go nowhere. Can anyone help?

pop the powerboard out but keep everything wired up and switch it on then without the switch. see if it still doesn't work.

Also if you want, get a paper clip, (small one) and you can push the actual turn on switch, (not the plastic thing, the switch inside) and see if it turns on.
