Title: Ipod Lcd clip broken

Okay so I bought a broken 80gb ipod video online intending to fix it later.  I got eveything installed and turned it on and the screen went on but was blank.  So I opened it up and again to check the lcd cable and broken the clip in the process.  Does anybody know how to fix it?

What I did (knowing I wouldn't be opening said iPod again) was crazy glue the ribbon down once I knew it worked how it was.
Best bet would be pressing the cable down and making sure the screen works completely, then hot glueing the ribbon down or something.

ok I will try that later on today.  Do I glue the connector or the ribbon?
