Title: Coolmods faceplate
Post by: bustinthejustin on October 30, 2008, 07:34:42 PM
Okay so i finally recieved my faceplate. But I found various problems with it such as the screen piece falling out, screws not going in properly, faceplate not going in quite right, and memory stick led hole in the wrong place making it bleed in through the faceplate... Is this normal for all faceplates by coolmods? Because everyone said that coolmods has great quality, so I'm just wondering if it's just me. It's not too bad I suppose, I'm just disappointed and thought it could be a little better...

that was probably due to the USPS as i remember sending a package to reaper and he got a back of shreds and an apology letter for the damage that had been caused

Custom face plates are good actually, but don't expect 100% heavy duty like the original.

I've done some modification, I drill, Cut some plastics, and they're perfect now!

For the screw thing, use Bigger screw driver +, Push it hard a bit, but gently, then screw it, beware screw can be damaged easily, you can feel when you do it! Try!

the best way i found to fix screw holes on the faceplates is unfolding a paper clip and heating up one end a push it into the screw hole. the clip is slightly smaller than the screw so it will allow the screw to fit quite tite.
