Title: need help with rapid fire TP points DualShock 3
Post by: Bdkap on November 03, 2008, 01:42:57 PM: I just don't know what TP points i have to solder the NPN transistor to. TP34 is L1 , but do i need to go to a ground or where for the other one. I have the MSU_V3.5X 1.12. I did look at the TP points https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=24977.0 (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=24977.0) but that didn't help since i have no clue. Also do i have to take out one of the rumble packs to get the case to close or is there a way to get it to close with out removing anything?

Post by: tapdisbong on November 03, 2008, 02:05:33 PM: are you using GBlasters method or you have your own PIC chip ? i recommend you take out the whole pcb to solder it. i have pics where to solder for the DS3 controllers, i gave them to GBlaster he might post them up later.

console customs has the same solder points to, if you want you can also look at his for reference.

Post by: Bdkap on November 03, 2008, 03:21:47 PM: Well thats my problem my TP don't look like that at all. Removed the photo. So I guess i have a newer Dualshock 3.? I can trace the L1 button and i have a multimeter so i can find the points I need but I still don't know.. Do I need the L1 button and a ground or what for the two points?

There is an orange wire blocking it , the only one that is being blocked go figure. its all so clear now. Post by: tapdisbong on November 03, 2008, 04:24:33 PM: i'm not sure what the tp60 is, but from all the RF (rapid fire) mods tp 60 is used, try it, but im not sure if it will work. if it works put up some pics of it for people with the same style pcb to do it to.
